What made you want to be in Drumline?

Honestly, I joined just to try it out. I’m glad I liked it enough to stay.

How long have you been in Drumline?

This is my third year. ♥

Are you in the Pit or Battery?

Battery!

What’s your favorite instrument?

The instrument I’m most comfortable with: snare.

If you’re in Pit, imagine you’re in Battery. What would you play? (Vice versa if you’re in Battery.)

I would want to play marimba, which I’m currently taking lessons for.

Winter Drumline or Fall Drumline?

Winter, man. I love drill.

Favorite show you’ve been in?

I feel like our show was the most challenging of all the shows I’ve marched. The music and drill is definitely a little more difficult than what I was previously familiar with, but that just makes it more fun to perform c:

Favorite outfit?

I like the Redline Uniforms for WGI and obviously the Blue Devils uniform for DCI hahah.

Favorite drumline show?

I like the Cavaliers’ 2010 show, Mad World. 

If you could make up a drumline theme/show, what would it be?

I have never thought about this before, actually. I don’t know.

Favorite show to watch that you were not in?

I’ve watched some great indoor percussion shows last year, but I can’t recall the names of the groups.

Worst memory of drumline?

Feeling like I’m the worst drummer to ever set foot on this planet.

First memory of drumline?

The amazing sensation after finishing a show and knowing we did well. 

Favorite memory of drumline?

My first performance, ever. The music was extremely easy compared to what I’m capable of playing now, and it was an exhibition show. Yet that was the best day of my life. I met someone who I used to be really close with, like sisters, but our jokes faded when she graduated. Still, it was an excellent day full of smiles and laughs.

Every broke something while in drumline?

We were moving equipment this one time and I was trying to pull a guitar amp’s plug out of an outlet but it was being really stubborn and I ended up breaking it. Fortunately my band director fixed it hahah.
